PHYSICAL COLD STORAGE / 16 × 16

STAINLESS-STEEL SEED VAULT256 BITS

Your seed.
Set in steel.

A mechanical, all-steel backup for the entropy behind a 24-word BIP39 wallet. No electronics. No vendor dependency.

01 / ARCHITECTURE

One bit at a time.
Visible. Verifiable.

Each of sixteen layers holds sixteen radial positions. Four visual sectors make every row easier to set and read back before the rail locks the selected states.

03 / DATA TO STEEL

Words become
physical positions.

The companion tool exposes each conversion step locally, then turns 256-bit entropy into sixteen clear assembly rows.

  1. 01

    Validate

Confirm the BIP39 words and checksum offline.

  2. 02

    Decode

    Recover the exact 256-bit entropy.

  3. 03

    Set

Map one 16-bit row to each layer.

  4. 04

    Verify

Read back the full object before locking it.

04 / OPTIONAL IDENTITY

Public QR.
Private seed.

A unique QR can identify each component using public identifiers supplied by the owner. The seed, private keys, and passphrase never go to the manufacturer.

The derivation path and signing protocol will be published before this option is offered for production.

05 / PEOPLE

A small team.
A long-term object.

Steellet combines mechanical prototyping, security research, product direction, and manufacturing around one intentionally narrow purpose.

06 / CUSTOM ORDER

Make it yours,
without sharing secrets.

Define finish, engraving, payment preference, and optional public QR. The brief is created locally and sends nothing.

07 / ESSENTIALS

Four useful answers.

Is Steellet an electronic hardware wallet?

No. It is a physical backup for wallet entropy and does not sign transactions.

Does the offline tool upload my seed?

No. Wait until it reports “cached,” disconnect every network, and only then use it with real recovery material.

Does the current object support 12 words?

The tool converts 12-word phrases, but the production physical map is currently defined for 24-word, 256-bit entropy.

Can the BIP39 seed be converted back to words?

No. The reversible value is entropy. The later 512-bit BIP39 seed cannot be reversed into the mnemonic.
